Alpenrose Restaurant in Vail, CO
The Alpenrose Restaurant in Vail, CO serves an extensive continental and German menu in an authentic European atmosphere. The restaurant was once a tearoom and bakery back in 1976, but has grown to one of Vail's finer dining establishments.
There are four intimate dining rooms that add to the classy and low-key upscale feel of the restaurant. The Alpenrose Restaurant is located at Suite 25 100 East Meadow Drive. It's open daily for lunch and dinner.
The restaurant had been closed for a while, but reopened in the winter of 2007-2007. The new restaurant is slightly smaller than the old one, but has the same chef. The ambience remained the same, as did the quality of the food.
Since the location is smaller, the tables have been set up closer together. The result is that to some people, the Alpenrose Restaurant may come across as a bit crowded. Especially when it's very busy.
Notable dishes include the Hungarian Goulash Soup, the French Onion Soup and the Split Pea Soup. For lunch, the Farmer's Plate is a favorite. The Farmer's Plate is a platter of cold meats, cheese and bread that provides just the right amount of food for lunch. Patrons consider it very satisfying without weighing too heavily in the stomach.
The atmosphere is especially relaxing for an Apres Ski event. There's plenty of fresh break, brezels and cakes that are especially satisfying after skiing.
The service at this restaurant has high ratings from visiting patrons. The atmosphere also receives high ranking with its dimmed lighting, elegant décor and great views.
