An excellent way to enjoy an exciting evening out to dinner! The food was great, services was a bit harried though. The tournament games brought the past to life right in front of our eyes. Everyone enjoys watching great horsemanship, this is no exception! Our entire group had a wonderful time. Great entertainment for all ages !!!

Good: Good natured staff, smily waitress, enthusiastic actors (especially those with speaking parts - considering that they must do it so often), beautiful costumes & magnificent horses, advance notice for asthma sufferers & a reasonably good meal. The physicallity of the show, the actors falling from their horses & rolling, the energetic big-action movements of the fight scenes etc. ... all good w/ little lag in between scenes. Not so good: we should be told why we're asked to arrive 90 mins. ahead of show time b/c I didn't appreciate feeling pressed to be there when in fact it was to sell souvenirs, wait in line for what we discovered was a photo of my group to hawk to us later for $20 each etc. Slushies were, my god, $10 each w/ the meal & employees are constantly walking around the arena during the show hawking all manner of plastic souvenirs. The commercial pitches just never stopped! The $8.00 'upgrade' to Royalty was not worth it. The website notes what the meal consists of 'ribs' etc. when in fact it was one rib. There is no non-caffeinated drink available in the price of the meal other than water. As well, I think that the show was a bit dry at times & long w/ an overwritten story WAY to complicated for people, especially children under the age of 11, to follow. Med. Times missed an opportunity to use a great Medieval character: the court jester. The jester could be incorporated in the show from time-to-time for levity & a change of pace from the rather heavy & dramatic story. If the jester had a small dog as a side kick they would steal the show! A hearty laugh was needed between the cheers, jeers & sound effects. I wish there were some parts for female actors on the arena floor eg. a 'knight' suited up in armour & helmet etc. who battles a very big armoured foe, the 'knight' wins, then takes off her helmet & the crowd discovers that in fact it is a small, slim women when everyone assumed it was a man. A kind of Joan of Arc type. Finally, another chance I think was missed, this time with the falconer: too much flying around the arena of his bird, not enough real demonstration of specific falcon abilities eg. the bird catching the lure was good & the mantling w/ explanation. Do more of this sort of thing. It was a very nice change from the horses & a demonstration that is very hard to find almost anywhere in the world.
