Joseph's Table in Taos, New Mexico is a fine dining restaurant with an upscale atmosphere that makes it stand apart from many of the other restaurants in the area. The restaurant is also home to the Butterfly Bar, which offers a soothing atmosphere and notable wine list.

The chef and owner, Joseph Wrede, is known for his "culinary brilliance." He creates award-winning cuisine that has resulted in rave reviews from many magazines.

In 2000, Joseph Wrede received the Best Chef Award from Food and Wine Magazine. The Santa Fean Magazine calls Joseph's Table "the most original restaurant in New Mexico." The New York Times says, "The plates rival those in any of Manhattan's best restaurants."

All interior décor was done by Martha Venn and Kristin Bortles. The restaurant is located on the historic Taos Plaza inside the Hotel la Fonda de Taos. Hours of operation are 5:30 pm to 10 pm.

The restaurant has won the 2005, 2006, 2007 AAA Four-diamond Award, the DiRoNA Award of Excellence from 2004 to 2007, the 2007 Best Restaurant for Wine Award of Excellence from the Wine Spectator, and the 2007 Award of Distinction from the Wine Enthusiast Restaurant Awards.

Reservations are required and can be made by phoning 505-751-4512. Joseph's Table is also available for large groups, private parties, and special events. These events can be held in the restaurant or in the private banquet room.

The menu includes starters like Risotto Cake with Parma Prosciutto & Parmigiano Reggiano in Portobello Syrup, salads like Hawaiian Marlin Sashimi on Fried Kale with Orange Soy Vinaigrette and entrees like Grilled Petit Organic Beef Tenderloin on Smashed Sweet Potatoes & Horseradish Sauce with Onion Rings Chimayo.
