The stylish Anaconda bar is located in the El Monte Sagrado Living Resort and Spa. The eco- resort has been designed with inspiration from the local Native American culture and features works of art by many world-class artists. The bar itself has a giant metal anaconda sculpture hanging from the ceiling. There are trees and foliage, as well as a salt-water aquarium. The decor features African drums for tables and a curved bar. The well-stocked bar is know for its signature prickly pear margarita and mojito cocktails. It provides a lively and popular place to enjoy a drink, either inside or on the patio. There is live music such as jazz, blues, country and Native American flute Monday through Saturday and Sunday brunch time.
The bar menu is served from 6.00pm and features a daily selection of tasty tapas, soup of the day and salads such as the Taos Tumbleweed — with romaine lettuce, avocado, and bacon. Choose from a lobster quesadilla, tenderloin and salmon flautas or a turkey club wrap. The menu features the Anaconda Burger — 10 ounces of Angus Beef with peppered bacon a choice of cheese and garnish, and the Quarter Pound Burger served with grilled sweet onion and russet fries. The bar also serves brunch on a Sunday.
The hotel itself features 84 rooms and suites decorated with artwork by wildlife artist Stefano Cecchini and abstract artist Alexander Gore, and a Sacred Circle with gardens, pool and waterfall. Dining is also available in the De La Tierra and The Gardens patio restaurant.
