Over 300 acres of trade shows, horse shows, fairs, concerts, and many other activities, the Florida State Fair is a yearly celebration of the best in the agricultural industry. The Fair recognizes the best in the fields of entertainment, industry, achievement, and of course, agriculture. An exciting time is had by all with activities and music that will delight one and all.
There is a wide range of activities which include livestock competitions where you can see the best of the best strut thier stuff for the top prizes. Then you can take a tour of the Cracker County Museum with its historic buildings and original antiques from that era. You can also take a moment to relax and listen to the many concerts performed by big name artists and local talent as well.
Another point of interest is the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center, where you can watch the horse's exercise, warm-up for shows, and perform the 2 ring shows. The center offers beautiful displays of horses that will be enjoyed by every member of your family.
Children are invited for a wide variety and stations geared to thrill and entertain them. Each station has a theme that should interest all ages. The stations include the Purebred Dog Tent, the Rabbit and Poultry Barn, Livestock Barns, the Forest Discovery Center, the Milking Parlor, Bob Thomas Equestrian Center, the Steam Engines and the Fish and Wildlife Commission. Children will have a great time and learn some valuable information in the process. The Florida State Fair is a grand time for everyone.
