Be prepared to scream at Busch Garden's Howl-O-Scream event this October with shocking shows, appalling attractions, and haunted hours.

Every October, Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, Florida transforms into a Halloween horror-land, showing off “The Dark Side of the Garden.” Howl-O-Scream boasts impressive haunted houses, various “scare zones,” spooky entertainment, and chilling coasters. Guests can also attend a fright feast to suit their ghoulish appetites. Every year brings something new to Busch Gardens, and in years past the themes have ranged from “Evil Never Goes Out of Fashion” to “Zombies Live Here.”

Terrifying attractions come to life this October to give you an experience you won't soon forget – if you survive. A Zombie Mortuary rises the dead in a funeral home. Visitors walk through a maze of scenes that immerse visitors into a too-real setting, including a crematory presentation. At Delta Epsilon Delta: Pledge Week, visitors walk through a haunted sorority house with a dark and deadly secret. If you thought your pledge week was scary, wait and see what these sorority sisters have in store for you.

If you survive the haunted houses and cemeteries, make your way to some of the spine-chilling shows the Gardens present. The Academy of Magical Arts' “Stage Magician of the Year” performs a new magic show that will leave you howling in horror at Full Moon Cabaret: The Magic of Jason Byrne; goosebumps will break out along your skin as you follow along with a young couple who break into a wax museum, only to find themselves captured by ghosts in One Wild Night; and Dr. Weirdstein and his manic nurses come back after thirteen years of hibernation to return to work on some intimidating inventions at Fiends.

It wouldn't be Howl-O-Scream if the Gardens didn't present their scare zones. Venture through the Wicked Woods, if you dare, but be warned – a group of hideous fairy tale creatures are around, waiting to make sure no one lives happily ever after. Going into the Corncob Junction will only mean death by flesh-eating zombies for you. And always, clowns, zombies, sliders, and chainsaw-wielding maniacs are waiting around every corner of the park to attack you.

This year, plan a visit to “The Dark Side of the Garden” for a Halloween that, if you live through it, you will remember forever.

Reviews
Oh my gawd what a blast it was to enjoy this theme park at night. Much better then HHN .Having the Clowns, Werewolves and other Roaming monsters scare the family was awesome. The variety of houses was great we enjoyed them all about the same . My son's favorite was the toy factory, My wife's was deconstruction, My daughters was the DED house she is a senior in highschool Great imagination , compared to HHN. We expected things from them and they didn't deliver it, but the level from Busch Gardens Africa was over the top with one zone in particular. The Road Trip scarezone was by far the best scare zone in the park and was almost better then a couple houses. and much better then the my x house.not scary at all. more straight out yelling then anything else. The Werewolves in general were fabulous, The one that made us the most scared and actually had my wife and daughter screaming and running was when the huge one out front of the tent came barreling after the young victim and chased her around the tent and thru the crowd. Then he growled into my wife's and daughter's ears from behind as he went by ... oh my gawd he is towering huge my son said. Seeing them loose their popcorn and drinks was worth the price of admission. but then when we saw him following us all the way over to the dj booth to get new stuff like he was hunger for more. oh my gawd that was awesome. I think my daughter is going to have problems for awhile. she couldn't sleep that night, she held onto the blankets in the room the whole night ,the toilet in the hotel made a noise and she jumped outta bed looking for the huge werewolf. We loved the clowns and the mega monsters, the shows were all great , My son is 12 and already wishes he could come work for them. He loves scaring people every chance he gets. he was chasing my daughter around growling like the huge wolf from the tent . I do have to ask two question tho what was that light of doom and the crazed love section. I understand the theme of the MY X but really Atmospheric area and the jilted lovers take revenge .. it was of kind of a bondage theme thing. very little interaction from either. Would have given them a 5 star but the lameness of the two scare zones and the band wasn't really that good. great imagination and I can see all the hard work done by the people working their. it more of a rating of them then the over all event. I'll give them 4.5 stars. overall.
