Tampa Bay's Silver Springs Park
Silver Springs' Glass Bottom Boats
Silver Springs' Glass Bottom Boats provide visitors with a one of a kind look at the unique ecology of Florida rivers.
For those that want to enjoy all that Tampa Bay has to offer, a stop at Silver Springs is a must. There is something to do here for everyone in the family and then some. You can easily spend several days exploring the park with your family, taking in the culture, people and of course the attractions. Silver Springs is actually a nature park of a unique type. When you visit, you are sure to enjoy the wide range of nature around you, but there is plenty of fun to be had as well. Consider a Silver Springs Multi Pass when you visit. When you get the Silver Springs Nature Park and Wild Water combo ticket, you have admission into both parks. Each of the theme parks is its own unique experience. You may even want to break these up and do them on several days because there is plenty to do here. To get started, visit Silver Springs: Nature's Theme Park. Here, you will find plenty to see and do as you walk around. You will see a variety of uniquely displayed exhibits of animals. As you walk through the park, you will see that the animals are nestled into this theme park quite nicely, allowing you to take in the action while still enjoying the peace and quiet of the animals around you. This theme park setting offers plenty for the entire family to do and see. You will get to see a wide range of animals, too, including alligators and panthers! The next part of your trip can be to Wild Waters. Wild Waters is just as amazing and fun but in a different style of appeal. This time, you'll be getting cooled off as you dip into the fresh waters that easily cool you down on a hot summer day in Florida. This is a water park at its best. You can enjoy the 450,000 gallons wave pool here, which is a favorite for many visitors. Then head over to the 220 foot Silver Bullet speed flume. Those that want to cool off will find this park has something for everyone, from the very young to the old. Plan to get wet by bringing towels and bathing suits. Each of the parks often offers a schedule of events. Stop by in April for Nature Quest Wildlife Days or in November for the Native American Festival, for example. There are concerts put on throughout the year as well. You can book tickets in advance or there are often available ones when you arrive. If you plan to enjoy your stay in Tampa Bay, Silver Springs is a great location to visit. You'll find that there is a lot of fun offered to guests, but also a lot of education when it comes to the animal exhibits. You are sure to find yourself mesmerized by the beautiful and up close exhibits. Splash away the day at Wild Water, too. Plan ahead for a weekend of fun or make it part of your vacation. |
