Osprey Meadows is a par 72 course with beautiful scenery of Lake Cascade, mountains, and forestry.
Tamarack Resort may be commonly known as a ski resort, but brecause it is an all-season resort, Tamarack welcomes year-round visitors and provides lots of activities both for the guests and to the public.
Though this resort is bustling with activity during ski season, Tamarack also offers lots of fun things to do during the warmer spring and summer months.
Lake Activities
The 21-mile-long Lake Cascade has 86 miles of shoreline and is ideal for boating, fishing, and swimming. Because of the prevailing winds on the water, sailing and windsurfing is a popular watersport at Lake Cascade. The lake is also suited for other kinds of boating such as pontoon boats, kayaks, Hobie Cats, and fishing boats. In Lake Cascade, you'll find a variety of fish, including perch, rainbow trout, small mouth bass, and Coho salmon. Lake Cascade is located right by Tamarack Resort, giving guests of the hotel and Donnelly residents easy access to lake activities. The lake is also near the small towns surrounding Tamarack resort such as McCall, Cascade, and Roseberry. If you're looking for even more activities while staying at Tamarack, you can visit Lake Cascade State Park in Cascade, Idaho, which is less than a half hour away from the Resort.
Biking
Because of its scenic trails, bikeriding is a popular activity around Tamarack. Tamarack Resort offers many biking activities for all ages of levels of cyclists. For downhill trails, visitors can take chairlifts to the top of a 7,700 foot mountain to take a slower, more scenic route down or high speed single track trails. For novice bikers and families, the Foothills Park is recommended. In Foothills Park, you'll enjoy 15 miles of single or double track trails through the beautiful meadows of Long Valley. For the more adventurous biker, Tamarack also has challenge and jump parks. These parks feature teeter totters, log rides, rock gardens, rail rides, and various table tops, all ranging from beginner to pro levels. Tamarack also offers guided tours through their beautiful trails that range from 1 to 6 hours. Guides on these excursions will share information on the local flora and fauna, regional history, geographic points of interest, and instructional tips on mountain biking.
Golfing
Osprey Meadows at Tamarack Resort offers choice golfing. The vast course is a par 72 with four teeing options on each hole. Golfers ranging from beginners to professionals all will find the right course here. The course is 7,400 yards from the tips, giving plenty of room for landing areas. It's also located by Lake Cascade and has a series of ponds and waterfalls, making the scenery at this course truly magnificent.
