Crane Creek Market
If you're looking to make some quality home-cooked meals while you stay at Tamarack Resort, Crane Creek Market will provide all you want for delicious meals you can make yourself. This grocery store takes pride in offering fresh meat and seafood, unique gourmet and organic foods, and farm fresh produce. The meat counter at Crane Creek serves only high quality meats that are tender, cut thick, and from providers who add no artificial flavors to their meats. Crane Creek also sells seafood that is "overnight fresh," meaning that the seafood is sent to the store and available to buy the day after it is caught. What Crane is probably best known for, though, is their fresh produce. Many of the fruits and vegetables are grown locally or shipped fresh to ensure the best, untainted taste straight from the garden. You can also buy special baked goods, such as the famous Moonstruck Truffles, which have been featured on Oprah Winfrey's "O!" list. Crane Creek offers a variety of quality wines and imported beers to accompany your fine gourmet meals. Mountain Essentials and The Sharper Edge
While you're in Tamarack, you're most likely going to engage in numerous outdoor recreational activities. Therefore, you may want to buy the latest equipment and apparel, which is conveniently found at Mountain Essentials, located in the Sports Dome of the Village of Tamarack Resort. At Mountain Essentials, you'll find the newest equipment, apparel, and accessories for skiing, fishing, hiking, golfing, and much more. Also, if you're looking to rent some equipment rather than buy, Tamarack has The Sharper Edge. The Sharper Edge specializes in renting the latest sports equipment so that you can enjoy your recreational activities to the utmost. Also, The Sharper Edge will make repairs to any equipment you need fixed!
Roseberry General Store
First established in 1892, the Roseberry General Store is representative of the mercantile history of Central Idaho. The store originally opened up as a place to buy dry goods, then underwent a series of changes—including the transformation into a honey processing house—until it was restored by Frank Eld in 1995 as an antique store. Then Eld again did some renovations to the store and it became a 1920s-themed general store and museum. Today, the Roseberry General Store sells both original and replicated vintage merchandise, antique woodworking tools, and medical and veterinary tools—including a broom making machine. Visitors to the General Store will also find new materials as well. Some of the products sold here reflect the Finnish, Russian, and Scandinavian culture of the area's first settlers. Unlike Crane Creek Market, Mountain Essentials, and The Sharper Edge, the Roseberry General Store is located away from Tamarack Resort. However, Roseberry is only a couple miles away from Donnelly, the town of Tamarack Resort, so go ahead and make the trip to the Roseberry General Store for a unique shopping experience rich in Central Idaho history!
