Located at West Street in Syracuse, Redhouse is dedicated to showcasing contemporary musical performances, theater, film and visual art productions on a platform that is both professional and intimate in its outlook.
The theater was established in 2004 by a group of artists as a house of art and has gone on to host some of the most noteworthy theatrical productions, concerts and gallery exhibitions ever since. Pervious performances have included the prestigious Local Filmmakers' Showcase, the controversial and critically acclaimed play Frozen, and Nevis, which is a collection of abstract art by Rachael Harms.
The Redhouse Theater welcomes patrons to register as members of their eclectic community and avail of a number of privileges like priority ticketing, VIP parking and even a lavish red chair with your name on it! You can even volunteer your services during theater performances or distribute flyers and pamphlets to voice your support for the theater.
The theater also hosts a number of special events and promotions like the Annual Fat Tuesday Celebration where you can gorge on sumptuous food, music and even participate in the Best Cajun Dish Contest. Come Christmas and Redhouse dons a festive air with the immensely popular concert 'Christmas with the Coyotes' and the Red Xmas Sale where your little ones are pampered with donuts, a movie and a visit from Santa while you fill your holiday shopping bags with festive goodies.
The venue is comprised of two spacious dressing rooms, restrooms and boasts of the latest sound and lighting technology. You can even rent the theater to showcase a private performance or to lend a touch of drama to your private event. Tickets can be reserved over the telephone, on site and on their website.
