From its humble beginning as a one-room lunch spot in 1982, Pastabilities has evolved into one of the most popular, chic eateries in Syracuse. Brainchild of proprietor Karen Korteling, this restaurant is well known for its made-from-scratch, home-style cuisine with a special emphasis on freshest ingredients of the finest quality.
Here, you can savor an array of homemade pastas, sauces, soups and salads, all of which are accompanied by warm oven-baked bread from the in-house bakery. If you happen to stop by for lunch, make sure to have plenty of time at hand to savor the complete experience in gastronomical satiety that Pastabilities offers. You can start with a salad like the Thai beef or the refreshing green salad topped with chicken, gorgonzola and walnuts, which come in small and large sizes to suit your appetite. The restaurant also features live music on most evenings and you can also view rotating exhibits of fine photography by Joseph Sheedy.
