Hotel Options in St. Augustine's Historic Downtown Area

St. Augustine, Florida is the nation's oldest city. Though the city was formed before it became an official part of the nation, it was founded at least forty years before any other city in what is now the United States of America. While fire has twice destroyed St. Augustine, its inhabitants never allowed its historic significance to wane because they insisted on rebuilding the town as its founders first built it. Because of its historic significance, it is relevant to all Americans; so many people visit St. Augustine to get a feel for what life in early America was truly like.

If you would like to visit St. Augustine, you might like to stay in a hotel that is located in the historic district of downtown St. Augustine. Attractions downtown include the historic Ponce De Leon Fountain of Youth site and the Castillo de San Marcos, the earliest military base in Florida.

You could stay at The Quality Inn Historic where there is a tour planning desk to help you decide which historic destinations you will want to visit first. Tour trolleys stop at this hotel to make visiting the historic destinations that you want to see easy and fun.
