Juanita K Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts in Springfield, MO

The Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts in Springfield, MO is located on the campus of the Missouri State College near the Walnut Street Historical Center at 525 S. John Q. Hammons Parkway.

The facility received its name after Mrs. Juanita K. Hammons who was an enthusiastic supporter of the arts. She was also the wife of worldwide developer and philanthropist John Q. Hammons.

The hall is a 2,220-seat facility that features Broadway shows annually. Children's productions and classical recital series have also been performed on the Hall's stage. The Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts has presented a wide variety of individual performances as well. These individual performances include dance, theatrical artists, Jazz, comedy shows, touring pop and rock concerts, and classical performances. Hammons Hall hosts the Springfield Symphony.

The concert hall is handicap accessible with accessible, power-assisted doors, and elevator and a chair life, and reserved disabled parking.

There are 1,122 orchestra seats, 681 mezzanine seats, 337 petite seats, 42 boxes, and68 pit seats. The stage is 120 feet wide.

The Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts has an educational outreach program with a mission to "empower teachers to better integrate the arts (music, drama, visual and language arts) through curriculum in an effort to improve student learning. To do this, Hammons Hall is in a partnership with the Missouri State College of Arts and Letters, associate school districts, and Springfield public schools.

Partners in Performances, a 250-person group of volunteers, provide services to the hall. These volunteers serve as staff at the Information Center, ushers, concessionaires, and sales people promoting the hall and performance related merchandise.
