Should you want to spend your Christmas holiday here, they have memorable Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations that include torchlight parades and fireworks. When you come by plane at Salt Lake International Airport, you are only 29 miles from the Snowbird Resort. Snowbird Resort has one aerial tram, seven chairlifts, and 2 high-speed quads that will take you to any slope you desire to tackle, with the longest descent at Gad Valley of 3.5 miles, the longest designated run at Chips Run which is 2.5 miles, and the steepest run at Great Scott at 40-50% grade.
