Shopping in Sedona, AZ

While the Sedona area is widely known for the variety of outdoor activities available, visitors will also find there is a wealth of shopping opportunities as well. From fabulous souvenirs to authentic Native American arts and crafts, visitors will find boundless options. If you are looking for some serious shopping opportunities, the Sedona area also offers quite a few outlet malls as well as trendy and hip retail shops.

Throughout Sedona you will find a variety of mom and pop shops as well as interesting boutiques. Most of Sedona is divided into numerous shopping districts; each of which offers its own distinct personality.

Outlet Malls

Oak Creek Factory Outlet Mall is located in the picturesque town of Oak Creek, just a short distance outside of Sedona. Located on Highway 179, the mall offers the best of most nationally known factory outlet stores.

Prime Outlets is also located just outside of the city and is home to more than 35 discount stores as well as a food court and big-screen movie theater. Just a few of the outlet stores you will find here include Nine West, Gap, Jones of New York and Tommy Hilfiger.

Shopping Districts

PiƱon Pointe can be found at the intersection of 89A and Highway 179. The area is relatively new and contains a collection of clothing and shoe boutiques as well as galleries and coffee shops. This is a particularly popular shopping area in Sedona as it offers a nice mix of both locally owned shops as well as high-end nationally known retailers.

Uptown Sedona offers practically anything that you might be looking for while shopping in the area, including aura photography services, Native American art, prickly pear candy and high-end Western wear. There is also a fairly good selection of souvenir shops as well.

The Village of Oak Creek, located just outside of Sedona, is the perfect place for antique shopping. Even if you are just window shopping, this is the perfect way to while away a few hours.

Hillside Shops is another relatively new shopping district in Sedona offering boutiques, galleries and jewelry stores.

Vortices Shopping

Sedona has become quite well known as a haven for practitioners of New Age beliefs. As a result, the area is packed with numerous shops and boutiques catering to New Age merchandise. The Vortex Creekside Center offers everything from crystals to medicine bags. The shop also houses a comfortable tea and coffee room.

Arts & Crafts

Tlaquepaque is the most well known arts and crafts village in the area. Originally designed in the 1970s, it was inspired by a traditional Mexican village which bears the same name. Here you will find 40 specialty shops as well as galleries. Wandering among the shady cobblestone courtyards is a treat in and of itself; however, the shops are a definite shopper's paradise, offering everything from fine art to jewelry and designer clothing.

Almost directly across from Tlaquepaque you will find Hillside Sedona. This is a more modern collection of galleries and boutiques which are beautifully nestled against the backdrop of the red rock foothills. Merchandise on display includes artistic clothing and numerous fine art galleries.
