Come Visit this natural wonder.

If you want to see the southwest, Sedona, Arizona is a good place for you to visit. Sedona is home to several accommodating resorts and bed and breakfasts that are comfortable and elegant. Juxtaposed against these resorts is the rugged terrain that surrounds Sedona. Though rugged, the scenery the terrain affords you makes the bumpy ride to get to it completely worthwhile.

You can take several tours from Sedona that allow you to view the beautiful scenery of the southwest up close and in person. If you have only seen the Grand Canyon or the majestic rock formations of the southwestern deserts via television, you are in for a treat when you actually get a close up view of them.

Whether you want to see ancient Native American ruins, awe-inspiring rock outcroppings or the Grand Canyon, you can book a tour out of Sedona to see it. On the other hand, perhaps you would like to begin your sightseeing vacation with a tour of areas of interest in remote areas of Arizona such as the Petrified Forest, Painted Desert & Meteor Crater. On this tour, you will learn why the forest petrified, you will get to watch the colors in the Painted Desert change with the passing of the day and you will get to view the crash site of a meteor.

If you would prefer to stay closer to Sedona, there are plenty of beautiful sites to see. You can take Jeep Tours that take you to areas surrounding Sedona that highlight rock outcroppings, ancient ruins and fantastic scenic views that you cannot drive to without the help of a 4x4 vehicle. If you take the Ancient Ruin/ Diamondback Gulch Combo Tour, you will get the combination excitement and culture. You will enjoy the excitement of an invigorating journey through the Diamondback Gulch where you will see famous rock formations such as Capitol Butte, Chimney Rock, Lizard Head and Doe Mesa and you will enjoy the cultural, emotional and spiritual experience of viewing the ancient ruins of a mysterious bygone civilization.

The Broken Arrow/Scenic Rim Combo is another jeep tour that puts you in the heart of the red rocks of the canyon. The Broken Arrow portion of the tour will get your heart racing from the excitement of the jeep ride and from the awesome views from Submarine Rock and Chicken Point. The Scenic Rim portion of the tour ascends you 2000 feet to the Mogollon Rim where you will get a breathtaking view of the lowland desert and ponderosa pine forest.

Of course, a sightseeing visit to Arizona without getting a view of the Grand Canyon is a preposterous idea, and you have several choices as to how to tour the Grand Canyon. You can take an Air/Land Combination Tour on which you will fly through the canyon, take a brief lunch break and then begin a trek on foot through the canyon.

The Grand Experience Tour includes an educational IMAX film about the Canyon, dinner at one of the fine Grand Canyon restaurants and a guided walk along the east rim of the canyon. The Sunset Tour incorporates the natural beauty of the sun setting with the play of light on the canyon walls that brings out a myriad of color in the canyon.
