Each year the Seafair Milk Carton Derby is held here in the Green Lake neighborhood in Seattle, Washington. But, you can enjoy Green Lake Park year round for a little exercise on the over two mile paved path. The park is also a great place to do nature watching right in the city as it serves as a preserve for hundreds of species of trees, plants, and birds.
Paddleboats can be rented to explore the park from the water, and there is plenty of room for other sports including frisbee, softball, soccer, volleyball, touch football and basketball (on the outdoor courts at the park's north end).
