International Conservation Photography Awards at Seattle's Museum of History & Industry

The International Conservation Photography (ICP) Awards is a biennial photography competition which honors talent and excellence in environmental conservation photography. Every other year, photographers from around the world can enter their portfolio of environmentally-themed photos into the ICP competition. A jury chooses the best photographers from the submissions and honors them at the ICP awards, held biennally at the Museum of History and Indsutry in Seattle, Washington. The winners have their photos displayed at a six-week exhibit at the museum, in a national photography magazine, and online as well. The competition is open to photographers around the world.

Held in even-numbered years, the ICP competition and awards look to honor up and coming photographers who exhibit a passion for conserving our natural environment. Winning photographs are usually those that inspire a sense of urgency in the viewer - the point is to make people take action in the realm of environmental conservacy. Proceeds from the event benefit local enviromental nonprofit organizations.
