Annual History Makers Gala at Seattle's Museum of History & Industry

For over 20 years, the Seattle Museum of History and Industry has held its annual History Makers Gala benefit dinner in November. This benefit is the museum's main source of fundraising - proceeds from this evening of philanthropy go to support the museum's educational and outreach programs. The evening kicks off with a multi-course, four-star meal prepared by one of Seattle's top chefs. Guest speakers from the museum and the city then honor the year's top museum educators; those individuals who have devoted ample time and resources to the museum, often without receiving any compensation in return.

The evening goes on to offer live music and occasionally, viewings of private or special museum exhibits. This event is a great opportunity to hobnob with Seattle's best and brightest. Tickets start around $250 for one. Entire tables for a group can be reserved in advance as well. If you would like to give to the Seattle Museum of History and Industry in a less lucrative fashion, of course they accept donations of any amount at the museum or on their website.
