Qwest Field gets down and dirty for the AMA Supercross Series Motorcycle Races. And there's a good reason: 50,000-plus fans will witness the biggest stars in Supercross as they race for first place at death defying speeds. Supercross is the second-most-popular form of motor sport in the United States today, behind NASCAR. And Seattle's race is the biggest Supercross event in the northwest.
So, how dirty will Quest Field get? Truckloads of dirt (650, to be exact) will be poured on the field for the races. Tracks are constructed thick with bumps, jumps and dangerous curves. When a rider falls, the race turns into a demolition derby. It's a spectacle unlike any other. And with Seattle's rain and drizzle, this could be the dirtiest event on the Supercross tour. And we mean that in the best way possible.
