Tillicum Village
Tillicum Village gives visitors a chance to escape from the busy-ness of life and be immersed in nature and entertainment.
The Tillicum Village Excursion takes Seattle visitors down the Puget Sound by boat before enjoying a baked Salmon meal and Native American dance performance in Tillicum Village. This 4-hour experience begins by having guests board a cruise boat and taking a 1-hour trip on Puget Sound, with gorgeous views of the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges. Then come back to Blake Island State Park for a delicious dinner featuring Indian-style baked salmon, which won the Best Entrée award at the Bite of Seattle event. Next, sit back and enjoy a stage show performed by Tillicum Village dance team. These dancers come from a variety of tribes, and since dance is such a valuable possession of a tribe, visitors are truly fortunate to be involved in this event.
You will see masks, costumes, carvings and totem poles, each representing tribes and areas. Finally, you can spend some time on your own exploring forest trails, the beach and the entire Blake Island State Park. This is a unique and great way to experience the Northwest, its native cultures and its environment.
