Familiar names like Blackbeard, Treasure Island, and Jean Lafitte are linked to the region's rich history. During your walking tour, hear the tales to be told by your very knowledgeable tour guide dressed as a pirate! Leave for your tour on the riverfront Riverstreet and up to the Colonial section of the Historic district where you will be enlivened with tales of the pirate activity that took place in these 18th Century buildings. Then prepare to be scared out of your wits with the stories that the Henry Willink Cottage and the Lilli Hampton Bridge hold as the spookiest places in town. Finally, head down Washington Square to the famous Pirate's House Restaurant for a tour of the tunnels where men were shanghaied and goods were smuggled!
