For four decades, the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival in
Japantown has offered one of the nation's most spectacular showcases of Japanese culture.
More than 150,000 visitors typically attend this festival each year, which features more than 90 events and activities that are all free of charge! Special events include demonstrations such as traditional dancing, tea ceremonies, martial arts, taiko drumming, and much more.
Food kiosks will be offering Japanese and other Asian cuisine, while live music performances and vibrant parades offer a festive backdrop. Street merchants will be selling authentic Japanese wares, such as the incredible Kanji calligraphy scrolls.
