San Francisco Shopping Centers: Shop-Till-You-DropSan Francisco is home to some very beautiful sights and sounds. With attractions ranging from Chinatown to the Golden Gate Bridge, visiting San Francisco is a true experience. While we all enjoy the unique places to visit within the city, some of us just want to get away and do some shopping. Here are a few of the many shopping centers that can satisfy all your shopping needs! Westfield San Francisco Centre This nine story mall which is home to America's only spiral escalator, is located in the Union Square area. The shopping center is full of trendy and upscale retailers with 65 fashionable stores taking up the first four levels of the mall, while Nordstrom is housed in the top five floors. The Cannery at Del Monte Square Once upon a time this was the world's largest fruit cannery, today it is a city within a city. The shopping center located in Fisherman's Wharf has an old European Village feel, and with many unique stores, shops, and galleries it is the perfect place to discover all kinds of treasures. In addition to shopping, there is a jazz and comedy club as well as restaurants and live entertainment. The Cannery is a great place for shoppers and non-shoppers too! This shopping Center was a chocolate factory from 1893 until the 1960s. With spectacular views of the bay and beautiful landscaped gardens, you can do some sightseeing while you shop. Ghirardelli Square is located in Fisherman's Wharf, and has over 50 shops and restaurants to choose from. Everything from apparel and specialty shops, to jewelry and of course mouth-watering chocolate can be found here. With hundreds of spunky sea lions lounging outside, PIER 39 is probably one of the city's main destinations. It offers a wide variety of entertainment, restaurants, and attractions. However, with over 100 different stores and shops, PIER 39 is a shopper's paradise. Here you can find clothing, books, toys, specialty shops, art, and of course jewelry! Located in Fisherman's Wharf, PIER 39 is great fun and great shopping! Anchorage Square With a variety of unique speciality shops, Anchorage Square in Fisherman's Wharf stands out from the crowd. With stores ranging from Magnet Kingdom and Hat World, to Cartoon World, there is something fun and exciting for the entire family. Crocker Galleria Located in the Financial District, here you can take care of personal business or shop for designer clothing. Shops offering services such as hairstyling, dry cleaning and shoe shining blend in with the high fashion boutiques of Gianni Versace and Ralph Lauren. Embarcadero Center As the name suggests, this shopping center is located in the Embarcadero area of San Francisco. The shopping center offers over 120 different shops with stores ranging from clothing and accessories to health and beauty, and even home furnishings. In addition to the shopping, many restaurants, cafes, and even a movie theatre are available to enjoy. If all that shopping has made you hungry, look no further. Also located in the Embarcadero, the large and small shops of the marketplace offer a wide variety of different foods. Cheeses, produce, meats, seafood, and pastries are among the many items you'll see here. You will also find cookware and culinary antiques. Restaurants and cafes are also available and feature a variety of unique and delicious cuisine to satisfy your hunger. These are just a few of the many places to shop while in San Francisco. Like the city itself, the shopping includes a wide variety of different tastes and diverse styles.
