The Aquarium of the Bay provides San Francisco visitors with sights of more than 23,000 different species for an encompassing view of the sea. Visitors to this aquarium will have a chance to see over one thousand different underwater animals and a variety of exhibits. The aquarium also has an underwater tunnel. Through its clear walls, you'll be able view various fish, sharks, and octopi--in 700,000 gallons of filtered bay water. The aquarium also has a chance to interact with some of the animals at its touch pools, where visitors will be able to touch live bat rays, leopard sharks, and tide pool animals.
After you've explored the bay and its creatures, be sure to stop by the Save the Bay exhibit afterwards to visit the Aquarium of the Bay's gift shop for fun aquatic items.
