The Army and Navy Academy near San Diego, California

The Army and Navy Academy located in Carlsbad near San Diego, California offers exceptional education and discipline that will last for a life time. Originally founded in 1910, The Army and Navy Academy has undergone several transformations over the years. 1944 saw the schools last and final transformation and has been a leader of academic excellence since.

The Army and Navy Academy is an all boys schools where a large majority, more than 95 percent, boards at the school. The grades offered at the Army and Navy Academy is from 7th to 12th. The campus is approximately 16 acres and has an enrollment size of 343 students.

Obviously, there is a strong military presence at the Academy. Along with U.S Army JROTC; the Army and Navy Academy strives to give students not just the knowledge but the physical ability, leadership know-how, and the confidence to live in the world as an effective citizen or to have a successful career in the Armed Services.

The Academy is often referred to as the "West Point of the West". The students are in uniform which serves to strengthen discipline and bond the students together.  There are also Battalions that are divided into seven companies and ranks.

The curriculum at the Army and Navy Academy is strict, tough, and the latest. There are several on campus programs that will help and aid the student with any educational needs. This is a non denominational academy though there are varies religious services offered.

The Army and Navy Academy is the only of its kind in California. The curriculum meets the requirements of University level programs. Students at the Academy are expected to meet the stringent requirements placed upon them and find their experiences here to be very rewarding.
