Ingrid Croce opened the restaurant and bar as a tribute to her late husband, Jim Croce in 1985. Croce's Jazz Bar, located at the corner of 5th and F, downtown San Diego in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, has been voted "Best Bar" for several years in a row by the San Diego Restaurant Association. The jazz bar features a variety of styles of live jazz music nightly from 8:30 pm. until 12:30 am.
