Anza-Borrego State Park in Borrego Springs, CA is over 600,000 acres of beautiful scenery and wildlife.
The name of the park was derived from a combination of two things: Spanish explorer Juan Bautista de Anza, as well as the Spanish word borrego which refers to bighorn sheep.
Anza Borrego State Park features wildflowers, palm groves, washes, sweeping vistas, and cacti. Keep your eyes open as you may see some unique species of wildlife including golden eagles, roadrunners, mule deer, bighorn sheep, iguanas, chuckwallas, kit foxes, and several other animals.
