Visit the ARCO Olympic Training Center and see the 150-acre complex that trains 4,000 Olympic hopefuls every year.
This state of the art facility, which is located adjacent to Lower Otay Lake, features an award-winning boathouse with a 3,000 meter rowing course and over 13 shoreline miles of the lake and three bays for rowers, canoers and kayakers.
The center also houses North American's largest permanent archery range which features 50 lanes, distances up to 90 meters, and movable targets. Other training facilities include four soccer fields, four tennis courts, field hockey, track and field, and cycling. The center is also used by student athletes and coaches for competitions and clinics while not being used by the Olympic trainers.
The center is open 365 days a year and daily tours of the facilities are offered free of charge. On the tour you will view Olympic hopefuls training from an elevated visitor promenade, as well as facilities that are available to them. On the way out you can visit the Olympic Spirit Store, that features an extensive line of official USOC and Olympic merchandise and memorabilia and your purchases help support the athletes.
