In San Diego, CA there are a great number of Memorial Day events to unwind with during the three-day weekend and honor our fallen soldiers.
While finding a Memorial Day ceremony is hard these day, San Diego and surrounding North County doesn't fall short. Visitors to the area, as well as locals of course, can find a variety of ways to spend this forgotten holiday.
Honoring Camp Pendleton Marines is Eternal Hills Memorial Park, which will also include luminaries provided by the local Boy Scout Troop. This free event includes music by the First Marine Division Band Brass Quintet.
For a more spiritual ceremony, Mission San Luis Rey Cemetery will hold an outdoor Mass that will conclude with a Memorial Day ceremony in the mission's cemetery.
St Peter's Episcopal Church will also be holding services for the public, with its Community Memorial Day Service, while Quail Botanical Gardens offers free admission for military families, and San Diego Veterans For Peace will be at Arlington West.
This Memorial Day, be a part of San Diego and North County's extensive celebration of our fallen military personnels' bravery and sacrifice.
