The Browns will visit the Bay as they face the Chargers at their home field
Qualcomm Stadium. The Chargers are a good team, but unless their young quarterback Philip Rivers makes some vast improvements, they may be a team on the verge of collapse. The words may and verge are used because it is very possible that coach Marty Shottenheimer is incapable or manning a bad ship. Still, rough waters will be in store if the shipmates don't tighten up.
The Browns are in the same spot as the Chargers it appears. They've a young quarterback in Charlie Frye that, while expectations are quite a demanding as that of Rivers, needs to step up big this season. The rest of the team is solid, just as with the Chargers, but unless these two young quarterbacks come into their own it may be a transition season for both teams.
