A tribute to Spanish Life in early Texas, and built to protect the mission or
Alamo, the Governor's Palace is the only remaining example of an aristocratic early Spanish home. Residence to the presidio captain representing the King of Spain in the Governor's absence, today it is a historic museum owned by the Parks and Recreation Department.
