SBC Center in San Antonio, Texas is also called the
AT&T Center, as the company changed its name.
Visitors to the center will find that it offers a range of activities including being one of the larger indoor arenas in the area. The building cost some $175 million to build. This arena is the home of the San Antonio Spurs a professional basketball team and part of the National Basketball Association. It is also the home of the San Antonio Rampage which is the professional hockey team and part of the AHL during the winter and spring months. For the WNBA in the summer, it is home to the San Antonio Silver Stars. In the month of February, you can visit the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo that takes place at the AT&T Center.
In addition, the location is the host of various other events including various shows, religious events and even corporate events. It features about 18,500 seats for a basketball game, 13,000 for hockey and at least 19,000 for concerts, as it is home of many tours each year. There are 50 luxury suites located on the premises as well.
Those that plan to visit the SBC Center or AT&T Center will want to call in advance to find out what is on the calendar of events. Tickets to various events can be purchased through ticket offices or at the location directly, but many events sell out. Group tours are welcome, but should be scheduled in advance.
