Paramount Theatre for the Performing Arts is located in Austin and is a significant piece of Austin history. This performing arts theatre was built in 1915. Since then they have provided much enjoyment to the visitors and residents of Central Texas. This theatre is the oldest theatre in Austin and is still hosting performances today. This building has been awarded some significant recognition over the years. It is considered one of the City of Austin Landmark and State Landmark. The theatre is also part of the National Registry of Historically Significant Places. Paramount Theatre is located at 713 Congress Avenue which is between 7th and 8th streets.
