Built in 1848, this former home of Jose Antonio Navarro is one of the best, but least known, gems of San Antonio's history. Navarro was a prominent statesman and one of the only two native Texans of Mexican nationality to sign Texas' declaration of independence from Mexico.
The home operates a museum conducting informative, interactive tours and special activities are available for children. Families will enjoy the interactive tours, as they provide an entertaining and educational look at the culture of the area.
