Charreada is an event packed full of exciting and breathtaking rodeo events along with a lot of other fun festivities in San Antonio, Texas. You'll have the chance to see charros or Mexican cowboys compete in several events including horse reining, roping and bull tailing, the bloodless bullfight famous in Mexico. Also, there is the beautiful display of Escaramuza where girls dress in traditional garb and ride sidesaddle in intricate patterns.
The Ballet Folklorico performs before the charreada, and afterwards is an exciting display of mariachi. While in San Antonio, this will be the perfect way to experience the culture of the southwest.
While not quite as famous as fellow mission the Alamo, Mission San Jose is still a popular attraction in the area and the largest of the five missions found in San Antonio.
