Enjoy art, jazz, and the San Antonio summer season for free, at the San Antonio Summer Art & Jazz Festival.
The party begins on Friday, June 2nd at 5 p.m. with Saint Mary's University Jazz Band who plays until 6:30 p.m. The acts following them will be The University of Texas Long Horn Jazz Band, a jam session between those two universities, and then the last act of the evening will be The Courtyard at St. Paul's Droptrio. In between bands feel free to view and purchase some great works of art, and enjoy delicious food like cheese steak, gorditas, tacos, crawfish, shrimp, gumbo, and much more.
Saturday, the festivities kick-off with the Chuck Kerr Quartet at noon, then it will be Second Nature at 3 p.m., then Los Jazz Vatos at 7 p.m., followed by The Courtyard at St. Paul's Europa at 10:15 p.m. Finally on Sunday, the South Texas Jazz Quartet will start at noon, then Planet Soul at 3 p.m., and last but not least, Acoustic Alchemy at 7 p.m. This even is free and open to the public, and visitors are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs.
