San Antonio isn't just rich with history, it has an abundance of shopping opportunities as well.

ARTS AND CRAFTS...

  • American Craft Mall. Visit the American Craft Mall and see a variety of handmade craft items available to purchase.
  • Artisan's Alley. With over 20 stores featuring items like hand crafted pottery, stitchery and needlepoint, there's plenty of opportunities to find the perfect gift at Artisan's Alley.
  • La Villita is an arts and crafts community where you can visit shops, observe working artists and see the Old San Antonio Exhibit, which is home to a collection of artifacts and symbols of San Antonio's rich history. You will find a wealth of shopping opportunities and dining venues.

OUTLETS...

  • Prime Outlet San Marcos. If you want to get name brand and designer items and deep discount prices, this is the place to be. The mall is located halfway between Austin and San Antonio in San Marcos. With names like Liz Claiborne, Polo, and Nine West, you're sure to find something for everyone.
  • Tanger Outlet Center. Also located in San Marcos, this outlet center offers deep discounts on brands such as Gap, Carter's, OshKosh, Zales, Pottery Barn, Royal Doulton and more.

SHOPPING MALLS...

  • Alamo Quarry Market. What was once The San Antonio Cement Company is now home to a number of popular stores and shops. The buildings that once housed production now house shopping opportunities. Here, you'll find names like Traditions, Avenue, Harold's, and Bed, Bath and Beyond.
  • Ingram Park Mall. Located on the Northwest side of San Antonio, this mall is the perfect place for shopping enthusiasts. You'll find department stores such as Dilliard's, Sears, and JC Penney. The mall is home to more than 150 specialty stores and you can find names like Bath and Body Works, The Disney Store, and Gap.
  • North Star Mall. This mall offers both high quality and high fashion. Home to over 200 stores, there's sure to be something for everyone, even the pickiest shopper. It's the one place in Texas to look if you're trying to find names like Pottery Barn Kids, bebe, The Sharper Image, Sephora, or Williams Sonoma.
  • Rivercenter Mall. Right on the Riverwalk, this beautiful glass structure has 125 shops and restaurants, plus entertainment like IMAX and AMC movie theaters, CyberZone, and the Rivercenter Comedy Club. You'll find department stores, big names, and dozens of great specialty stores, including Cats, Cats, Cats, the Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop, Big Dog Sportswear, Tabasco Country Store, and Latin Gold Cigar Factory.

SHOPPING DISTRICTS...

  • The Riverwalk. If you're only going to shop at one place in San Antonio, hit The Riverwalk. Cobblestone walkways will lead you to the river-level shopping and dining venues. Visitors will see the river flowing through the city on the level below the city streets. You are sure to find anything you can possibly want to buy within the three miles of retail shops, boutiques, restaurants and clubs. And adjacent to the Riverwalk is Rivercenter Mall.
  • The Market Square (El Mercado) is home to 32 shops and offers an authentic Mexican market. There are also 80 shops located in Farmers Market Plaza. Depending on when you visit, you may be able to enjoy a Hispanic festival where you will find food and drink booths along with mariachi music.
