Take a step back in time and get a glimpse of some history of 1847 while visiting the fascinating and historical This is the Place Heritage Park. Once of the most historical parts of this Park is Brigham Young's original farm house that has recently been restored. Realistic pioneer activities will be reeacted including quilting, weaving, woodstove bread baking and butter churning. You may even have the opportunity to try some samples. Even take a look at some activities in Heritage Village such as furniture making, spool knitting and washing, dyeing, and weaving wool.
Take a guided tour on a horse drawn carriage and explore the village. Don't forget to take a look at the This is the Place Monument where the Mormon Pioneers first entered the Salt Lake Valley. In addition, this monument also acknowledges Spanish missionaries, explorers and trappers.
