Fountain Green Fish Hatchery near Salt Lake City, UT
An unusually scenic spot for a fish hatchery, Fountain Green is both lovely to look at and useful as well- the fish produced here are stocked in central Utah rivers once reaching maturity to help boost population.
Located near Maple Canyon, the Fountain Green Fish Hatchery is responsible for the reintroduction of over 120,000 pounds of fish back into central Utah waters. The breeds grown here are Rainbow, Cutthroat Trout, and Kokanee Salmon.
As a property of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, the public is welcome to visit this location, and it's located south of Salt Lake City down Highway 132. Visitors are advised to watch for road signs leading to this location.
