Hop aboard this one-hour cruise along the Sacramento River for views of many historical sights. Visit the unique Delta King Hotel, beautifully floating along the river with modern lodging amenities, two delicious restaurants, two professional theaters, a wine school, and amazing old-world charm. Observe the beautiful metal truss swing bridge known as the I Street Bridge as it crosses the Sacramento River. Built in 1911, this historic bridge was originally part of State Route 16! Another stop, the Tower Bridge, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. This vertical lift bridge across the river links West Sacramento with the main city and was once part of U.S. Route 40 until that highway was truncated east of Salt Lake City. Enjoy views of the Air Force Docks, which is part of the Sacramento Wharf, a port facility located along the Sacramento River waterway and that specializes in mooring vessels.
Listen to fascinating stories from the history of Sacramento during this one-hour cruise, and learn about Sacramento founder John Sutter, the wild first days of the Gold Rush, and the legendary Pony Express. California’s capital city is filled with exciting history and beautiful sights, and guests of this cruise will have the perfect view. Remember to bring some cash if you’d like a snack or beverage from the concessions, which are open several days of the week.
