Everyone who has a love for the mountains will enjoy The Mountain Project at
Red Mountain Resort. The project is dedicated to protecting the mountain and promoting enjoyment of mountain activities. Skiers, artists, athletes, environmentalists and others are all important participants in The Mountain Project.
The Mountain Project has a beautiful building located at the base of the Silverlode lift at
Red Mountain Resort. It houses the Snowsports School and the Guides Office. Together those offices teach people about mountain sports and about how to keep safe while they enjoy all that the mountain has to offer them. You can enjoy snowshoe tours, adventure guides, snowboard instruction, ski instruction and more.
Several large companies are founding partners in this project. In addition to their financial support and sponsorship, participants in The Mountain Project are able to test new equipment and concepts on the mountain.
You do not have to be at
Red Mountain Resort to take part in the innovative project. The Mountain Project has a virtual community complete with forums, member blogs, images, videos, articles and other information that can be useful to anyone with an interest in mountains.
The Mountain Project at
Red Mountain Resort is already so successful and has generated so much interested that there is talk of a second site opening up and a European site opening in 2009.
