Your tour of the Tijuca Rain Forest begins with you boarding a jeep at your hotel along with your guide and heading towards the rugged trails of the forest. As you're traveling through the dense vegetation of Tijuca, you'll get a chance to see various native wildlife and unique flora. You'll be stopping in a remote area and disembarking from the jeep for a hike through the forest. During your one-hour journey by foot, you'll discover first-hand the variety and abundance of wildlife including tropical birds and monkeys. Over the course of the entire tour, you'll pass sites such as the Vista Chinesa (Chinese View), Cachoeira Macacos (monkey's waterfall), Capela Mayrink (Mayrink Chapel). You'll also be informed of the reforestation efforts being taken to keep the ecosystem of the Mata Atlantica (Atlantic Forest) intact.
