Groovin' in the Garden at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
Do you want great live music in a living setting? If so, Groovin’ in the Gardens might be for you. Held annually on the lawns of the Lewis Ginter Botanically Gardens, this series of outdoor concerts features artists such as Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Keller Williams and many others between May and June, letting you enjoy beautiful music in the beautiful spring weather.
All the concerts allow for advance bookings, although you can pay on the door if you wish. In the absence of seating, it’s generally a good idea to bring a blanket or folding chair to sit on, along with appropriate outdoor clothing depending on the weather. This is one concert that doesn’t let itself stop for rain. Gates open at 5:30 for all concerts, and most will begin with support bands half an hour after that, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings, and the atmosphere, before the main event begins.
