A theater which is as quirky in terms of the performances it hosts, as the name it bears, the Theatre Sortie de Secours, or the Theater of Emergency Exits is the brainchild of talented actor and director Bruno Denecker. Today, this theater is comprised of an immensely talented team of musicians and actors who dedicate themselves to creating some of the most awe-inspiring performances in the world.
Located at rue Louis Rolland at Montrouge, the theater has performed a number of critically acclaimed productions, which have also found much popularity with theater goers, and continues to enthrall visitors with the thoughtful and sensitive depictions it presents. The Theatre Sortie de Secours is also well-known for the brilliant workshops it conducts which introduce novices to the spectacular world of theater and focuses on several aspects, beginning at physical gestures, concentration, diction and moving on to imagination and improvisations. The theater welcomes participants of all ages working with young children, teenagers, and even hosts a special workshop on Friday afternoons for hospitalized patients.
Past performances, which have won the theater numerous accolades, include Ricabel, which was first performed at the Maison de l'Actor and then in the Lille region, Cinoche, and Motordu, which is also the theater's latest production.
