Vacationing and lying on the beach seem to go together. When you're in Puerto Vallarta, you'll want to visit the Playa Norte Beach. Playa Norte in Puerto Vallarta, JA is a sandy white beach with some of the more beautiful clear green/blue water you've ever seen. This beach, although very deep, gets more shallow as you walk further out, giving your children a lot of swimming and wading place. You can walk out almost 70 meters and still not worry about being in deep water. Beware, however, of the topless beach that is located there, especially if you have young children.
You'll enjoy just walking along this beautiful beach even if you don't want to go swimming. At the end of the walk, you'll find the Playa Norte papaya beach bar & restaurant called Sergio's Playa Sol. If you come at just the right time, you'll catch it at happy hour. They have some really great tasting snacks here. The beach is actually located in front of the restaurant. In fact, you will find a few different cafes each offering you a great variety of kinds of food. One of the most popular drinks on the island is the CoCo Loco, which is a coconut cut that's cut on the top and filled with rum and other liquids. This beverage is delicious. If you're at the Playa Norte, you have to try it.
You'll also see many different vendors on the beach, each trying to sell you their goods like scarves, jewelry or clothing. fThe beach reaches its hottest peak around 3 in the afternoon and usually by 5 p.m., the beach begins to empty. Many couples use this to their advantage in the evening when they are looking for a secluded romantic spot on the beach.
