Malecon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

The Boardwalk, known as El Malecon in Puerto Vallarta is a great place to go and people watch, sunset watch, or just take in the sights and sounds of the surrounding area and the waterfront area. The Malecon runs through Old Town then along the Playa de los Muertos beach making its journey through the heart of the downtown area. There are many great art exhibits along the boardwalk as well as plenty of great restaurants and bars to keep you busy and happy for as long as you are exploring this excellent boardwalk.

Many people believe that the best sunsets in town are viewed from el Malecon and that it does much to make the old town area even more beautiful and attractive to locals and tourists alike. With so many high-rise hotels obstructing the views of the beaches and the splendid waterfront sunsets, there are many who are very glad to have this one oasis among views.
