The Tequila Tour is an incredible addition to any tour itinerary while in the Puerto Vallarta region. You will be able to go behind the scenes for a look at how tequila is made, aged and even sample a bit of this traditional Mexican liquor. From the blue agave plant to the distillery, the street vendors, the aging rooms and more, this is an incredible tour. You will begin your tour aboard an air conditioned tour bus and head out to the village of Tequila, the home of the tequila distilleries. There is only one region in Mexico where tequila is produced and this tour lets you get the best look at the entire process. You will notice the extensive fields of blue agave as you near the town, followed by roadside vendors offering their wares.
Your tour will also include the city of Compostella, followed by the Black Giant volcano and surrounding lava fields. You will also enjoy visiting the Nahualt ruins, an incredible opportunity to view monumental structures created by a long vanished people. Finally, you will tour an actual tequila distillery, where you will witness the entire tequila production process, from distilling to aging and even get to sample a bit of tequila at the end of your tour. After your tour, it is time for lunch at a Mexican restaurant, followed by a return to your hotel.
