Lewis & Clark College is a private institution that offers undergraduate programs in the arts, humanities, and sciences and graduate programs in education, counseling, and law. In addition to its academic courses, the College offers students an impressive array of extracurricular activities, most notably its sports program which encompasses nine varsity sports for men and ten for women.
Visitors can enjoy a full schedule of games at the Pamplin Sports Center, the Zehntbauer Swimming Pavilion, and the Griswold Stadium. Art lovers can take advantage of the popular Hoffman Gallery of Contemporary Art and the numerous exhibits at the Fields Center. Settled on over a hundred wooded acres, the campus also offers some lovely nooks for students and visitors to explore, from the rose garden and reflecting pool to the Estate Garden with its view of Mount Hood. Many free events are open to the public, such as student music and theatre performances, art exhibits, lectures, and athletics.
