Among its many annual events are the Waterfront Blues Festival, the Oregon Brewers Festival, the Rose Festival, and the Bite of Oregon Festival which offer visitors a delectable mix of sights, tastes, smells, and sounds.
The Japanese American Historical Plaza features a lovely memorial garden and artwork that tells the story of those who were deported to internment camps during World War II, while the Battleship Oregon Memorial honors the 1893 USS Oregon and its many naval battles. Visitors won't want to miss the Salmon Street Springs, an unusual computer-controlled fountain that is the park's most famous attraction.
